Is It Truly The Last Jedi?
This may be the greatest time to be alive as a Star Wars fan. First off, the newest entry in the Star Wars saga will soon hit the big screen. And with tickets already being sold, the movie is on route to break some major box office records.
The camaraderie around this fictional universe has never been more passionate or more universal. It's a story line the entire family can find themselves glued to and relate to despite it being heavily market to kids. But although George Lucas claimed the movies were for kids, Disney know their audience, which is why the adult fans have also seen merch aimed towards them. And so you now have a product that not only gets the attention of all ages, but there doesn't seem to be any end to the Star Wars celebration.

There will be a new Star Wars film trilogy, and this is what we know so far :
- This will share the same universe but will be completely separate from the Skywalker story line, exploring new planets and characters never before seen on screen
- Rian Johnson will seemingly be given creative freedom on the project
Ok, so we don't know much at all other then it being knew and managed by Rian Johnson, the director of Star Wars The Last Jedi. But it's good to see that they respect his work to such an extent that they plan to give him a whole new world to shape to his liking. In fact the president of Lucasfilm made a statement saying :
It's exciting to speculate exactly what this can be, and it's even more exciting to think that this could be like nothing we've seen before. But the announcements don't end there. On the same day it was also announce that a live-action TV series based in the Star Wars universe is in the works. Unfortunately even less is known about this announcement, but with Game of Thrones ending, and some speculating that season 9 might be Walking Dead's last season, this TV series could be big.
What about you? Are you excited, or would you rather see Rian Johnson's The Last Jedi first before you begin jumping up and down?
